Wood has been accompanying a man since ages. It served as a handle for his first instruments, constructing material for his bows, arrows and spears. It gave a heat to his fireplaces and light to his torches. It would be a building material for his dwellings, transport devices, instrument as well as musical instruments. To theses days the wood accompanies us through cradle, rocking horse, colored pencils, floor covering, Windows, small fiddle, guitars, furniture, crouches and cane to coffin. It is surrounding us.
20th century is an age of plastics. Relatively cheap substitution of wood made of petroleum but with the burden to ecology while liquidating. There are global aftereffects – there are many sharp surprises. There is a chance to change the situation. Give to the wood its position among the materials.
